A Rose of a Different Color

I don't believe I had ever seen a lavender rose before, but now I have. This is a difficult color to photograph. Posted by Picasa

A Yellow Rose

It's forecast to freeze here in two or three more days for the first time this fall. This may be "the last rose of summer". Posted by Picasa

A Gaggle of Canada Geese Heading South

These are the same geese as in the previous photo. I surprised them on a small pond near the Botanical Garden a few miles from my home. I was using a 640 mm telephoto lens on my Canon 20D digital camera. Posted by Picasa

Fast Get Away

Posted by Picasa I surprised these canada geese that were swimming on a small pond close to my home and they took flight. The slow shutter speed and my panning to follow their flight resulted in this surrealistic photo which I feel expresses the haste of their departure.

A perfect rose

We have not had our first frost yet and the flowers seem to be flourishing in the cooler weather. I love the two shades of this rose. Posted by Picasa

Hapimag Resort Photo #2

This is the resort in Spain again looking from the central building towards our room, which is in the building above the maroon Mercedes Van (our rental car). Our room is the one with the folded yellow umbrella about half way up the page. Posted by Picasa

Hapimag Family Resort, Costa Brava, Spain

The central building of the resort where we stayed in Spain. Contains check-in counter, restaurant, mini-mart, indoor pool, and golf shop, etc. Our room is on the far right where you see the folded yellow umbrella.

In another photo there is a better shot of our location. Posted by Picasa
