Paulette's version

Paulette took this with a little Kodak V530 I gave her for her birthday! Not bad! Posted by Picasa

Pioneer cabin

A view from within an actual late 1800's pioneer cabin. It was built of extra-heavy logs to protect its occupants against roving thugs. The settler could fire from this narrow window relatively protected from the bad guys. Posted by Picasa

On the way to the top

A view on the way up to the summit of Renezvous Mountain on the aerial tram. Unfortunately this tram is being decommissioned in October, never to go again. Why? I don't know. Posted by Picasa

At the top looking down.

What does it look like at the top of the Tetons? Like this! June 5, 2006, 42 degrees, wind 10 MPH and still lots of snow. It's 76 degrees in the valley. Posted by Picasa

Rustic Teton County

The quintessential postcard photo of the Tetons from the Jenny Lake road in Teton National Park. Posted by Picasa

I made it!

Yours truly after successfully arriving at the summit of Renezvous Mountain with Jackson Hole in the background. (I took the tram!) Posted by Picasa

Hikers

The three hikers sitting on the left have just hiked to the summit of Renezvous Mountain from the floor of Jackson Hole, a 4500 foot climb. The one on the left is American, the other two are Germans from Munich. They made the climb in two hours twenty minutes a distance of 7.2 miles. Posted by Picasa

Aerial Tram

An aerial tram car approaches the dock at the summit of Renezvous Mountain, altitude 10450 feet. The grand Teton Peak looms in the background just to the left of the car.Posted by Picasa

The Grand Tetons

A panoramic view of the Grand Tetons reflected in Jackson Lake taken from Signal Mountain in Grand Teton National Park. Posted by Picasa

Mountain stream

Are you hot and dry? An ice-cold mountain stream flows from the snow-line in the Teton Mountain range June 5, 2006. Come and cool off! Posted by Picasa
